In Pulaski County, we are at a crossroads. The management of our public funds requires more than just administrative oversight; it demands a leader with a proven track record of innovation, legal expertise, and a deep-seated commitment to transparency.
As a life-long public servant and your County Attorney for the last decade, I have spent my career turning "big ideas" into measurable results. My candidacy for County Treasurer is built on a foundation of documented successes that I am ready to scale for the benefit of every taxpayer.
A Record of Innovation: Beyond the Status Quo
True fiscal stewardship means finding creative ways to save money without cutting services. I have spent years proving that "progress doesn’t happen in a silo":
The Solar Power Success: I led the initiative to transition Pulaski County to solar energy. By structuring a value-driven deal with $0 out-of-pocket capital, we saved the county $250,000 in the first year alone and locked in energy cost stability for the next 25 years.
Modernizing Public Access: I spearheaded the implementation of the NextRequest FOIA portal. This centralized the records process for the Sheriff, the County Judge, and the Clerk, replacing an inefficient manual system with a easy to access digital infrastructure.
Eliminating Backlogs: I successfully tackled a $10 million deferred maintenance backlog by leveraging energy-efficient upgrades to recoup costs—addressing critical infrastructure needs without asking for new taxes.
A Defender of "The People's Law"
Transparency isn't just a campaign slogan; it’s a value I defend, including at the state level. As a member of the Arkansas FOIA Taskforce, I was a primary advocate for public access, advising the General Assembly against measures that would create financial barriers or allow for secret government deliberations. I know the legal landscape of our "People’s Law" because I am on the front lines protecting it.
The Vision: From Achievement to Transformation
I am running for Treasurer to bring this same energy and "Transparency 2.0" mindset to our county’s financial heartbeat. My plan is simple:
Day One Integration: I will move the Treasurer’s office out of its current silo and onto the county’s unified FOIA portal.
The Open Checkbook: Using my experience with digital modernization, I will launch a searchable, real-time portal so you can see exactly how your tax dollars are being marshaled.
Collaborative Growth: I will apply the "zero-cost, high-return" model used in our solar projects to support our school districts and rural fire departments.
Results matter. I have spent over a decade delivering them for Pulaski County, and I am ready to bring that same energetic stewardship to the Treasurer’s office.
